After purchasing, and playing a bit of God of War: Chains of Olympus, I later found that the save data files had no background images, as some PSP games tend to do for some reason.
So, if you're like me and hate when this happens, here are 7 different images for you to choose from! There are two cover art themed backgrounds, taken from both the pre-release demo disc and final U.S. release covers. If you want something a bit more simple, check out the five variations I created using the GoW:CoO logo and shield artwork found on the website. It's aligned just right so that the logo goes above the save data text (if you happen to choose one of the two with the logo, that is.) Otherwise, you have the shield itself, bloodied or non. Be sure to rename the image(s) you choose to just "PIC1.png" before putting it into the corresponding save data directory. There you have it! Enjoy. Variant backgrounds layout designed by Parker J. Williams. All artwork © Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. God of War is a registered trademark of Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. © Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. Huh ?
It should be in (with "x" being your MemoryStick drive letter) x:/PSP/SAVEDATA/ and then the folder you'll be looking for will have "UCUS98653" at the beginning of the title. So "x:/PSP/SAVEDATA/UCUS98653DATA00/" and "x:/PSP/SAVEDATA/UCUS98653PROFILE00/" for example. Just look at the "ICON0.png" file in the folder; if it has the God of War: Chains of Olympus, or a screenshot of your most recent save, then you're in the right directory. If you've put it in the right place, it should show up when you look at your save data on your PSP's main menu area.
