Description
This was actually based on a photo-manipulation created of myself and a classmate for my photography class sophomore year of high school. Yes, I really did have crazy hair and huge sideburns—if you don't believe me I can either submit my drivers license photo or you can go ask my witnesses, ~OdangaUsagi or ~E4SYK1LL.
I thought it would be cool to see the Joker a bit more scroungy, rather than nicely dressed, (yes, I thought of it first! F%&ing WB's 'The Batman' cartoon!) though before the transformation into Joker, he'd be pretty slick looking. Anyway, Joker would be the one responsible for Bruce's parents’ death (Bruce would be 8 and Joker/Jack 18 when it happens.) Ten years later, on his way home from school Bruce would brush past Jack and recognize him (though Jack wouldn't recognize Bruce.)
Jack by this time has worked his way up in the crime chain from petty theft to… well some bigger crime. I never got that far into detail. haha… Anyway, he'd have a girlfriend, Harleen (Harley), who worked in a coffee shop and was in college. She'd break up with Jack, seeing that being with someone like him would get her into trouble.
That evening Jack would be angry and upset, something would go wrong during some sort of deal of his with some chemicals and he'd be left for dead. Instead he wakes up deranged and takes a syringe full of the chemical with him. Harley is found taking a shower at her apartment and the light goes out just as she turns off the water. She steps out to try the switch when she see's Jacks feet in the moonlight and asks who it is. He says something like, "What do you mean, sweetheart?" Then he steps the rest of the way into the light to show his disfigurement. She recognizes him immediately and cups her hands to her mouth, asks him if he's alright, he's says he's never felt better, blah, blah, blah... then lunges at her and sticks the needle into her! Tada! She's now a deeply devoted loony. Yay!
BATMAN: REBIRTH - About these series of drawings:
Around about 2002 I started reading the Ultimate Spider-Man series and thought it might be kind of cool to see what it'd be like if Bruce Wayne became Batman at an earlier age. In this storyline Alfred and a few other characters would be a bit younger along with Bruce.
Alfred will have home schooled Bruce (and of course led him through a bit of training) 'til about Junior year in High school when he decided public school might be good for him to make some friends and be a bit happier. A few of his classmates would turn out to be classic Batman villains (Catwoman, for instance) and they'd all have their storylines tweaked a little, if not completely.
Eventually this idea fizzled out—but I still like coming back to it every once and a while….

I really like the Joker in this one, the looks creepy as all hell.
With Harley, one of her eyes in the frontal pic looks bigger than the other(I think because of the mask's black and white colours), which adds to it I think, gives her a little something.
